Eve Film Poster - Final

When looking at my film poster, I felt that the Film Title looked very plain and it didn't blend in with the feel of the poster. So I re-designed it by typing out the word EVE using the same font as my first draft Perpetua Titling MT and duplicated the layer. I then added motion blur to the the layer behind it and it created a very blurred effect (similar to my poster).

Eve Film Magazine - Empire

This is the final outcome of my film magazine. I decided to go with EMPIRE magazine because I feel that it is the most iconic and it has a particular style which everyone recognizes. When taking this image, I wanted the actors to pose dramatically, but also be aware that they are in a photo-shoot because when I look at film magazine covers, this is a recurring theme.

When adding the text, I was very aware that I had to stick to a certian colour scheme, so i only used the colours red, (because of the empire logo) black, white and grey. I also decided to highlight and emphasize certain words, since this was also a regular theme within  EMPIRE magazine.

The editing process

I have now cropped and re sized the image, and adjusted the brightness and contrast. I have also slightly blurred out the background, so the focus is mainly on the actors.

I have now darkened Grace's under eye circles so it is obvious that she is dead

I have now added some saturation and a high level of contrast to Grace's face, just to make her look eve more lifeless.

Now adding the final touches, I decided to adjust the saturation of the background and add a slight blue to hue to the while image, just to make it less colourful, I then decided to add more contrast to Grace's face and more light to Helen's just to emphasize the contrast between the two.

I have now added the magazine logo from EMPIRE magazine, and edited it so the logo would we behind the actors. I did this by using the eraser tool.

I also decided to make a bar code for my magazine

I have now looked at existing EMPIRE magazines and taken inspiration from them. I have decided to make starburst after looking at this cover.

This is the first draft of the Eve trailer. There are still a few minor changes that need to be made e.g. the tone cards and the black screen has a few little dots on it which need to be removed.
